CHLORINE GAS DETECTION ALARM SYSTEM WORKS AS DESIGNED

In 2015 Pfannenberg provided signaling notification appliances (alarm horns and strobes) to the North Tonawanda Wastewater Treatment Facility as part of their new Gas Detection Alarm System. On the evening of Tuesday, September 13, 2016 there was a very small chlorine gas leak. Pfannenberg's PATROL Signaling Alarms were triggered through the system notifying plant personnel and surrounding area. The alarms could heard up to a mile away from the facility.

With the next round of Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) updated regulations taking into effect September, food processing companies are scurrying to make sure their facilities are up to code. The newest set of updates will support efforts into the quick responses to food/beverage related emergencies (contamination, expired products, recalls, and foreign materials). The new amendments also require that the FDA inspect the food production facility every two years to make sure that the facility and products adhere to all regulations.

Liquid Cooling Solutions like Air to Water Heat Exchangers or Chillers are especially well adapted to hot, dirty environments, where it provides a method of removing the heat from the machine and not contributing additional heat back into the environment.

Pfannenberg cooling units operate on the principle of the Carnot cycle. This means that the cooling units function as a heat pump that “pumps” the thermal energy transferred from the
electronic cabinet (heat dissipated from the components) up to a higher level of temperature (the ambient temperature can reach levels as high as + 55 °C). The air inside the enclosure is cooled down by the evaporator and at the same time dehumidified.

Closed Loop Cooling and particularly Air to air heat exchangers are used when the complete separation between the enclosure and the environment is required and the internal enclosure temperature to be cooled can be higher than the ambient.
