On the evening of Tuesday, September 13, 2016 there was a very small chlorine gas leak. Pfannenberg's PATROL Signaling Alarms were triggered through the system notifying plant personnel and surrounding area. Looking to keep busy after retirement from GM, Vern came to work for Pfannenberg on our blue line doing assembly work for our cooling products. We asked Vern about how he's going to spend his retirement and he said he's looking forward to spending time with his family, going to the Gym, driving his Camaro and traveling. Our production line is going to really miss him. This past week Pfannenberg exhibited at WEFTEC which is a show that focuses on products and services targeting the Water Industry. As I walked the mile long exhibit floor it was amazing to see the number of manufacturers exhibiting innovative products that were developed and manufactured here in the USA. My hope is that here in America we continue this innovation and manufacturing traditions. As manufacturers we have to inspire young people and make them aware of the types of jobs that are available in science, math, technology and engineering.
