Pfannenberg Signaling Alarms Notify Personnel and Community of Chlorine Gas Leak

Posted by Jon LaPorta on Sep 14, 2016 1:51:25 PM

CHLORINE GAS DETECTION ALARM SYSTEM WORKS AS DESIGNED

In 2015 Pfannenberg provided signaling notification appliances (alarm horns and strobes) to the North Tonawanda Wastewater Treatment Facility as part of their new Gas Detection Alarm System. On the evening of Tuesday, September 13, 2016 there was a very small chlorine gas leak. Pfannenberg's PATROL Signaling Alarms were triggered through the system notifying plant personnel and surrounding area. The alarms could heard up to a mile away from the facility.

Vern to the Office!

Posted by Jon LaPorta on Oct 31, 2014 4:17:00 PM

Pfannenberg would like to wish one of our blue line employees a happy "2nd" retirement. Vern Agee retired several years ago from GM after working there 30 years. Looking to keep busy after retirement from GM, Vern came to work for Pfannenberg on our blue line doing assembly work for our cooling products. We asked Vern about how he's going to spend his retirement and he said he's looking forward to spending time with his family, going to the Gym, driving his Camaro and traveling.

Our production line is going to really miss him. Each day we would hear the familiar "Vern to the office" paged over the intercom and a resounding "VERN" cheered out by all of the production workers (like Norm on the classic sitcom "Cheers"). Good luck and thank you for your work here at Pfannenberg.

Happy National Manufacturing Day

Posted by Jon LaPorta on Oct 3, 2014 1:05:53 PM

Today October 3, 2014 marks National Manufacturing day. This is a day for manufacturers to support young people pursuing careers in manufacturing and engineering. This past week Pfannenberg exhibited at WEFTEC which is a show that focuses on products and services targeting the Water Industry. As I walked the mile long exhibit floor it was amazing to see the number of manufacturers exhibiting innovative products that were developed and manufactured here in the USA. My hope is that here in America we continue this innovation and manufacturing traditions. As manufacturers we have to inspire young people and make them aware of the types of jobs that are available in science, math, technology and engineering.

Electronics Cooling with an Air to Water Heat Exchanger

Water is the most efficient form of heat removal. Using an air to water heat exchanger allows you to safely cool your electronics using water, while also keeping external contaminants from entering your enclosure. Air to water heat exchangers also offer the advantage of being low maintenance while using significantly less energy than traditional methods.
